A Quick Hit-team is a short-term mission
team designed to: help those working for Voice for change
in Brazil. Anyone interested in working with street children
will connect personally with them face to face.
It is essential for anyone who may be considering
the possibility of missions-related work with VFC on
the future to first come in a quick hit team.
Make a difference in Brazil
There are millions of children living
on the streets of Brazil, each day faced with uncertainty.
They have to worry about where to sleep in safety, where to
find their next meal and how to survive another day.
What can be done about this?
Voice for Change International is committed
to establishing 1000 homes for children in Brazil. We want
them off the streets and in families who will love and care
for them.
They need to know that they are valuable and are Brazil’s
best hope fora bright and prosperous future. Voice for Change's
Quick Hit program is designed to give you the opportunity
to get involved first-hand with this project in Brazil.
When can I go?
Trips to Brazil are arranged about three
times year. Each team will travel to Curitiba, Brazil for
12-15 days and usually consists up to 12 people from various
countries who are interested in making a difference by working
with Voice for Change there.
What will I be Doing?
You will spend several days working
with us in the Favelas (slum areas) in Curitiba. You will
have the opportunity to reach out to the children and adults
through visitation, teach simple health-related projects,
drama and music.
This will be an opportunity for you to interact
with children and. It is here that you will encounter the
faces and lives of those who are confronted. with poverty
and an uncertain future. Several days will also be spent in
our houses relating to the children, through play, telling
stories, or teaching them something that will help mould their
lives and challenge their minds.
We’ll make sure that you get to explore
Brazilian culture, food, and have a great time. A trip to
the beach, a ride on a train down a mountainside, shopping
and maybe even a soccer game will be inclued in the itinerary!

There is an application process involved
with Quick Hit teams. We need to find out more about you and
why you want to go to Brazil. We will be happy to send you
an application form or you can download one here:
The cost per person includes air travel, lodging and most
meals. These prices fluctuate due to the exchange rate and
the time of year. Those from outside the UK may need a VISA
to enter Brazil. You must receive appropriate immunisations
from your local travel clinic and also provide evidence
of insurance for the trip.
